We are pleased to announce the addition of Michael G. Robinson and Catherine J. Weinberg as partners of our firm. “Michael [Robinson] and Catherine [Weinberg] are exemplary attorneys who have distinguished themselves with their dedicated service to our clients and our firm,” commented William D. Michael G. Robinson joined the firm in 2000 as an associate attorney handling business and real estate related litigation, though he soon transitioned into handling commercial real estate transactions. In 2007, Mr. Robinson left the firm to join Cox, Castle & Nicholson LLP. Mr. Robinson rejoined the firm as of-counsel in 2009. Mr. Robinson’s practice focuses on acquisitions, leasing, financing and development of shopping centers and other commercial properties, as well as corporate formation, restructuring and related commercial transactions. Mr. Robinson earned his law degree from Pepperdine University where he focused on real estate law. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Business, with an emphasis on Real Estate Finance, from the University of Southern California.
Catherine J. Weinberg has been with the firm since 2000, and during her time with the firm has handled both litigation and transactional matters with an emphasis on commercial landlord tenant disputes. Ms. Weinberg's practice focuses on the representation of owners and developers of shopping centers and other commercial real estate involving a wide variety of practice areas from leasing through the resolution of landlord tenant disputes. Ms. Weinberg earned her law degree from Whittier Law School where she served as an editor of the Whittier Law Review and was a fellow at the Center for Children’s Rights. Previously, she was enrolled in a graduate program at the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs, Syracuse University where she taught undergraduate students in American Law and Politics, Constitutional Law and Comparative Government classes, earning her Master of Arts degree. Ms. Weinberg earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from California State University, Long Beach.
Michael G. Robinson Appointed ACRE SoCal President
Buckner, Robinson & Mirkovich is pleased to announce that Michael G. Robinson has been appointed President of The Association of Corporate Real Estate Executives of Southern California (ACRE So Cal) for 2015. ACRE So Cal is a not-for-profit commercial real estate industry organization that holds regular meetings, luncheons, and other events catering to Los Angeles and Orange County professionals in the surrounding real estate markets.
ACRE So Cal’s board members and attendees are comprised primarily of commercial real estate industry leaders typically focused on the local retail industry, and include developers, retailers, landlords, tenants, brokers, lenders, and other professionals.
Mr. Robinson has been on the board of ACRE So Cal since 2009, previously serving as Treasurer and legal consultant.
